Sophia's Reviews

Never Forget

Vocally, the star of the show is Sophia Ragavelas as Chloe, the classic wronged woman. Her gut-wrenching performance of Love Ain’t Here Anymore is the standout moment of the show, with a delivery so powerful it stunned the raucous audience of Take That fans into complete silence for possibly the only time in the entire show. - Scott Matthewman (The Stage)

Iain's short review from Stoke 11th March 2008

There are two main stars in this show - Dean Chisnall who plays Ash (the Gary character) and Sophia Ragavelas as the gorgeous Chloe. I can honestly say these two are the best young couple I have ever seen and heard singing together. - Geoff Billingsley's review of the show at Bromley - Newshopper.co.uk

Sophia Ragavelas, superlative as the love interest, Alice - Timeout.com

Sophia Ragavelas is the consummate performer who sings and dances as if she were imported from some fairyland of perfectly polished panto performers (pardon the alliteration) - Timeout.com reader Timothy Winey

"Sophia Ragavelas....a beguiling Yum-Yum" - The Stage Online thestage.co.uk

Brighton Rock

"Better still is Sophia Ragavelas, the teenage waitress who falls in love with the babyfaced gangster. Her youthful fatalism is so convincing, I believed in her from start to finish" - Toby Young  tobyyoung.co.uk

"Sophia Ragavelas...the sweetly innocent Rose in splendid voice" - The Stage Online thestage.co.uk

"Sophia Ragavelas is genuinely affecting as the pitifully innocent waitress who falls into his coils" - The Daily Telegraph telegraph.co.uk 6.10.04

Les Miserables

"Sophia captured the fragility and at the same time determination and strength of Eponine which makes her character so endearing." - www.lilyrose.org

"Sophia Ragavelas for me perfectly portrays Eponine, her small frame covering up the huge emotional and hard life she has led. She has a face which is extremely expressionate and body language which continually reveals her inner thoughts whether joy or sadness." - www.lilyrose.org

"There are decent supporting performances, especially from Joanna Ampil and Sophia Ragavelas as the two doomed women" - The Times 17.4.04 Reviewer Benedict Nightingale

"...the current Eponine whose face adorns Les Mis posters all over the London Underground was just phenomenal. She's one of those singers that you watch and wonder how they can manage to sing so well and with such effortless ease. She gave every note everything she had and judging by the applause it was clear that I wasn't the only one who felt this way. I hope she'll stick around for a while." - nostalgic.org - November 2003

The Witches of Eastwick

"Over the last few months I have also seen Carnall, Shaw and Ragavelas as understudies, all of whom proved worthy replacements and confirm their likelihood of future success." - Damian Sandys on londontheatre.co.uk October 2001
